How to Wall Mount Your Custom Neon Sign: A Step-by-Step Guide
So, you’ve just received your custom LED neon sign, nice one! Now it’s time to get it up on the wall and glowing. Good news: installation is super straightforward, and we’ve made this guide to walk you through every step.
Whether you’re mounting your sign in a home, office, retail space or venue, follow these simple instructions to get your neon sign shining in no time.
What You’ll Need
Your sign arrives ready to go, and includes nearly everything you need to install it:
Wall mounting kit (screws, stand-offs, and caps)
Transformer & wall plug
Optional dimmer & remote (if you selected one)
A drill (not included)
Step 1: Unpack Your Sign
Carefully remove your LED neon sign from the packaging. It’ll be pre-mounted on a laser-cut acrylic backing (cut to shape or rectangular depending on your design).
Tip: Lay the sign on a soft surface like a bed or couch to avoid scratches while unpacking.
Step 2: Choose Your Spot
Find the perfect spot on your wall. Keep in mind:
You’ll need access to a power outlet
Try to mount it to a solid wall. Our signs aren’t heavy, so you don’t need to mount it to studs.
Step 3: Mark the Mounting Holes
Using the acrylic backing as your guide, mark the wall through the holes on the backing panel with a pencil. These are where your stand-off screws will go.
Pro tip: Use a level to make sure everything lines up straight, especially if your sign has text.
Step 4: Drill the Holes
Use a drill to make holes in the spots you marked.
Step 5: Install the Stand-Offs
Screw the stand-off bases into the wall using the included hardware. These are what will hold the acrylic panel slightly away from the wall.
Step 6: Mount the Sign
Line up the acrylic panel with the stand-off bases, and screw on the front caps to secure your sign in place.
Your sign should now be mounted.
Step 7: Plug It In and Light It Up
Connect the sign’s power cable to the driver and plug it into your nearest wall outlet. If you purchased a dimmer, connect it between the sign’s power lead and the driver. Then, hit the switch & your sign should light up immediately.
You're All Set
That’s it! Your custom neon sign is now up and glowing.
