Why Are Neon Signs So Expensive?

First, ourLED neon signs are around 1/3 the cost of a traditional neon sign.

This is because we use LED Flex Neon as opposed to the traditional method of gas and glass. Neon sign costs have everything to do with how they’re made. While all of our LED signs are still handmade with love, the traditional production method of blowing glass and filling that glass with gas is not how we do it.

Much of the high cost of traditional neon signs is a result of how rare they are now. That process is a mastered art known by few and done professionally by even fewer — so when there’s only a handful of people able to make neon signs through that complicated process, the price is naturally high. Not to mention that neon glass is not a cheap material!

Our production team cut and bend lengths of specially developed LED Flex Neon we named the Rad Super Mini LED and adhere it to perspex backing plates. This helps the design keep its shape. This process is much more straightforward (and a whole lot safer) than using neon gas and glass.
