What is a light box sign?

A light box is an electrically-lit sign designed so that its promotional print is easy to replace. It consists of a single sheet of backlit film with a print image sandwiched between two lenses, encased in a display container. To change the graphic, you simply have to replace the backlit film with a new one.

What is the difference between a light box and a traditional electric sign?

Light box signs are built so that the print film can be replaced often or frequently. Traditional electric signs are designed for permanent or long-term display with the same messaging. They also tend to be much larger than light boxes and used for highway and building signage that can be viewed from far off.
